AFTERCARE
PLEASE NOTE: THIS REFERS TO COSMETIC TATTOOS ONLY. FOR AESTHETICS AFTERCARE, PLEASE REFER HERE.
PLEASE NOTE: USE CLEAN, DRY HANDS WHEN TOUCHING THE TREATED AREA
DURING THE HEALING PROCESS
No exercising.
No cosmetics on treated area.
No saunas or steam rooms.
No sun exposure (melanin-rich lips will need to avoid sun exposure for one month post-procedure).
No picking or scratching.
Refrain from using anti-aging skin care products around the area at least 2 weeks after to your appointment. This includes retinol, glycolic acid, vitamin C, AHAs/BHAs, and any brightening or whitening products.
Avoid treatments such as chemical peels, micro needling, exfoliations, neuromodulators (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Jeauveau) and fillers at least 4 weeks post-treatment.
BROWS
DAY 1 (day of appointment):
Gently wipe brows with antiseptic wipe provided in aftercare kit 1-2 hours after your appointment. Repeat at bedtime.
Avoid showering today, if possible.
DAYS 2-14:
DO NOTHING.
Allow brows to DRY HEAL - Avoid wetting brows at all costs (this includes sweating).
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Brows may appear reddish and/or darker in color for the first week. This is normal and temporary.
Flaking and peeling is normal during the healing process. It is crucial not to pick at the flakes to prevent uneven pigment healing. Healing cream provided in the aftercare kit can be used to minimize discomfort/itching during this time.
The tattoo may appear lighter after the dead skin comes off. The color will return to the surface after this process.
Refrain from use of brow growth serum for 4 weeks after time of service.
Final results vary with each person, and will appear clearly 4 weeks after time of service.
LIPS
DAY 1 (day of appointment):
Gently wipe lips with the antiseptic wipe provided in aftercare kit 15 minutes after leaving appointment.
Pat lips with dry cotton rounds provided in aftercare kit every 10-15 minutes to remove remaining lymph or blood; do this for approximately 2 hours post-procedure.
Lips may appear swollen and feel tender - this is temporary and can last up to 48 hours. Ice packs can be applied to lips to assist with swelling.
Avoid spicy food, alcoholic beverages, hot and colored liquids for the first 24 hours. Eat all food with utensils and drink all liquids through a straw.
DAYS 2-7:
Apply a thin layer or A&D ointment provided in aftercare kit to keep lips hydrated, but not oversaturated with product. Apply up to 4 times daily.
Continue to eat food with utensils and drink all liquids through a straw.

LONG-TERM CARE
Your tattoo is an investment and will require continued care. Sun/UV exposure will lighten your tattoo. Apply sunscreen to and around the treated area once fully healed. Anti-aging products and exfoliation treatments used directly on and around the treated area will lighten your tattoo. Refrain from laser-light and radio-frequency therapy around the treated area as it can distort the pigment. It is pertinent to tell your skincare professional to stay clear of the tattooed area. Refresh appointments are necessary to maintain color and detail.
